What are the “Days in the Dioceses”?

“Days in the Dioceses” is a meeting that precedes the week of WYD Lisbon 2023 and consists of the integration of young people from all over the world in the parish communities of the various dioceses of the country. The “Days in the Dioceses” are like a path of preparation for the pilgrims and the host community to experience the days of the Day.

 

During these days, participants can get to know better the region that welcomes them, as well as the local Church and its specificities, staying, as in the week of the Day, in family homes, parish or public facilities, in order to be able to have a true experience of Church, evangelization and mission.

For the pilgrims who visit us, the “Days in the Dioceses” are an invitation to experience the richness of the Church in the host country, as well as to promote the encounter and sharing of cultural and religious riches.

For the hosts, it is an opportunity to say YES to the mission of hosting a World Youth Day and to show the cultural, gastronomic and religious riches to young people from all over the world.
